Entrepreneur Mason Soiza Announces Donkey Charity Support

Entrepreneur Mason Soiza announces his support for Moroccan donkey charity. In Morocco, donkeys are used for work and have few rights compared to horses, who are all owned by the King of Morocco and have to have regular health checks. The British entrepreneur announced that he will be donating money to build a new stable for retired working mules and donkeys at the Jarjer Mules Sanctuary in Rue d’Amsis in Marrakesh, Morocco.

MasonSoiza, a successful UK-based entrepreneur, announced that he will be making a £10,000 donation. He hopes that by extending this amount, he will be able to not only support the vision and the mission behind the sanctuary but to also make a world of difference to the animals that the local community is looking after and caring for.

‘It is a privilege to improve the lives of these wonderful animals and be a part of the wonderful work that Jarjer Mules does’, Mason quoted.

Jarjer Mules serves as a retirement home, care centre, and family for them along the High Atlas foothills near Marrakech. Set in a sprawling land of 6 hectares, the Jarjer community was developed by Susan Machin who have formed close links with the Oumnas village. Aside from their commitment to preserving the landscape in the locality and the way of life of the village which is steeped in traditions, they have also decided to do something for the often overlooked members of the local community– the local donkeys and mules.

Caring for the old, disabled, and abused donkeys and mules are the main goals of the sanctuary. However, their work does not stop there. They have also been actively working with the local people and offering the necessary support not just to the sanctuary’s equines but also to the members of the local community who want to know more about better equine care. They also take in stray local dogs.

Aside from caring for the sanctuary’s equines, it also provides services to holiday makers and visitors that want to experience the local culture and see the beauty of the local ways and traditions. People can also enjoy company of the mules and the donkeys in the sanctuary while sipping some drinks and enjoying some snacks before journeying back to Marrakech. All of the proceeds of the sale of the refreshments are used for the upkeep and the welfare of the sanctuary’s animals.

He is only too happy to do his part in the wonderful work that the sanctuary is doing for its animals. He has always had a soft spot for animals in need and he sees this as a great opportunity to do contribute to a truly worthy cause.  Find out more about Mason Soiza and his charity work here.
